International Women's Day 2023: Ekiti Education family Charges female Staff to be digitalized

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education Science and Technology , Dr Folakemi Olomojobi, has advocated the need for female staff of the ministry and its agencies to up their games in the area of digital technology in order to maximize  their full potentials.

Olomojobi made this known during this year's International Women's Day celebration organized by the Ministry of Education Science and Technology in Ado Ekiti.

The Permanent Secretary emphasized on the need for women in Ekiti State to be digitally skilled and literate to be able to catch up with the global trends, saying they should allow their creativity to come first in this digital age.

She also enjoined parents and religious leaders to encourage their girls in the digital education, which she said would not stop any woman from becoming what they want to be professionally.

Participants were also lectured on gains of digital education and, while expert from SIDMAC TECHNOLOGY, tutored the gathering on digital literacy in Secondary Schools .

There were goodwill messages from the Executive Secretaries of Scholarship Board, Mrs Bosede Jegede and Education Trust Fund, Mrs Tolulope Olaosebikan 

Women's Day is an internationally set aside date observed on the 8th day of March every year to celebrate all the women in the world and this year's celebration is themed "Digital Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality".
