Amoye Grammar School Alumni Pay Courtesy Visit to Ekiti Deputy Governor. -Presents Award.

The Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs) Monisade Afuye has received in audience the Old Student Association of Amoye Grammar School, Ikere Ekiti in her office.

Chief Monisade Afuye who welcomed the school alumni to her office stated her pleasure to have the presence of her senior, mate and junior sets who graduated from her Alma mater.

The Deputy Governor promised to push the request of the association as touching the resuscitation of boarding activities in the school to the table of Mr Governor for approval.

Afuye therefore pledged her unalloyed support for the association in moving the school forward, stating that her position is not only for her alumni set but for everyone.

Speaking earlier, the president of the association, Engineer Kayode Ilesanmi, accompanied by his executive members stated that the visit was to associate with the Deputy Governor whom God has elevated among millions of women in the state, under the flag of the alumni of the Alma matter.

Engineer Kayode Ilesanmi informed the Deputy Governor about the ongoing projects under the association toward surviving the school to include provision of Information Communication center, construction of the school gate, renovation of SS2 block among others, adding that the school has been rated one of the best in the state through the contribution of the alumni association.

Engineer Ilesanmi however listed the challenges of the association to include resuscitation of boarding programme in the school as well as access road which is usually affected by flood during rainy season.

The Permanent Secretary, Mr Bayo Opeyemi while acknowledging the award presented to the Deputy Governor, appreciated the association for identifying with Chief Afuye adding that Amoye Grammar School has immensely contributed to good life and upliftment of the Deputy Governor, stressing that Monisade Afuye is for all and sundry.
