Ekiti SUBEB Deploys Newly Recruited Teachers to Public Schools

The Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has announced the deployment of newly recruited teachers across the first, second and third batches to public primary and basic schools in the state.

The Permanent Secretary of the board, Mr Michael Omolayo, disclosed this in an official statement, directing the affected teachers who selected any of the 10 listed Local Government Education Authorities (LGEAs) as their first choice to report to the offices of the respective Education Secretaries on Monday, Nov. 2, 2026, for documentation and further posting instructions.

The affected LGEAs are Ekiti East, Ekiti West, Moba, Ilejemeje, Aiyekire, Emure, Ijero, Ikole, Oye and Efon.

Omolayo directed the Education Secretaries in the affected local government areas to ensure that the teachers were posted to their respective schools on or before Wednesday, Nov. 4.

He said the deployed teachers were expected to resume immediately at their designated schools and submit their Letters of Assumption of Duty through their headteachers to the respective Education Secretaries for further action.

The permanent secretary warned that the board would sanction any teacher found to have rejected posting instructions or failed to resume duty at the designated school.

He added that all Letters of Assumption of Duty must reach the SUBEB headquarters in Ado-Ekiti on or before Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2026.

Omolayo congratulated the newly recruited teachers and urged them to demonstrate diligence, dedication and commitment to building a solid foundation for basic education in the state.
