The Special Adviser to the Ekiti State Governor on Special Projects, Mr. Olubunmi Talabi, has urged staff of the agency to be diligent and professional in the discharge of their duties.
Talabi gave the charge at a meeting with staff in his office in Ado-Ekiti, stressing that resilience and professionalism were key to quality and timely service delivery.
He frowned at acts of indiscipline, including lateness and absenteeism, and warned that existing rules against misconduct would be strictly enforced.
The Special Adviser urged the staff to perform their responsibilities with a high level of professionalism, assuring that outstanding performance would be recognised, encouraged and rewarded.
He also advised the workers to be objective and rise above emotions in the discharge of their duties, to enable them contribute effectively to the goals of the present administration.
"Always embrace change. Change is inevitable, as it is the only constant thing in life. Everyone must, therefore, be ready to adapt at any point in time to improve professionalism and productivity," he said.
Talabi reminded the staff that the provision and renovation of public structures were among the agency’s core responsibilities, urging them to maintain professional standards that met national and international benchmarks in the execution of their duties.
He urged the staff to sustain their renewed commitment to duty and service delivery, while two members of staff were recognised for their outstanding performance.
Mr Adebowale Fakayode was named the Best Staff for July 2026, while Mrs Kemi Ogunlana received the award for August 2026.This version avoids the somewhat repetitive “meeting ended with a call” construction and gives the staff awards a stronger news value.
