The Special Adviser to the Ekiti State Governor and Director-General of the State Bureau of Public Procurement, Mr. James Folorunso, has attributed the landslide victory of Governor Biodun Oyebanji in the just-concluded election to the administration’s commitment to quality developmental projects across the state.
Folorunso made this known on Thursday while speaking with journalists after inspecting ongoing and completed projects within Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.
He said the administration had embarked on several landmark projects that would stand the test of time, noting that residents of Ekiti State would continue to benefit from the developmental strides.
According to him, key ongoing project such as the new 80 bed word complex, indoor sports hall, flyover, innovation hub located at the state secretariat, and the new High Court complex and the recently completed overhead bridge were designed to improve the living standards and socioeconomic well-being of the people.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment to quality delivery, Folorunso expressed satisfaction with the standard of work so far executed, stressing that the administration would not allow public funds to be wasted on poorly executed projects.
“This present government does not allow contractors to use substandard materials, and that is why we are always on their necks to ensure they live up to expectation,” he said.
He urged contractors handling various projects to maintain the pace of work and adhere strictly to specifications in order to guarantee value for money.
Folorunso also reiterated the commitment of the Oyebanji-led administration to the welfare of citizens and the overall development of the state, calling on residents to continue to support the government to enable it to achieve greater progress.
