Ekiti First Lady Attributes Electoral Victory to God's Grace, Thanks Church for Prayers

The Wife of the Ekiti State Governor, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji, on Sunday attributed the administration's recent electoral victory to God's grace and the prayers of the church.

Speaking at a thanksgiving service at Glorious Tabernacle Ministry, Ibadan, where her family has worshipped for more than two decades, Oyebanji said the visit was to appreciate God for the outcome of the election and His continued faithfulness to the state.

She also conveyed the appreciation of Governor Biodun Oyebanji to the church for its prayers, support and love for their family and the administration.

According to her, the prayers of the church have remained a major source of strength for the government, adding that the administration will continue to seek God's guidance in delivering democratic dividends to the people of the state.

The First Lady said the achievements recorded by the administration across key sectors were made possible through divine direction and the government's commitment to improving the welfare of residents.

Quoting Amos 9:13, she urged Christians to remain steadfast in faith, expressing confidence that God would fulfil His promises, restore lost opportunities and bless the efforts of His people.

She also prayed for sustained peace, progress and development in Ekiti State, asking God to grant the administration the wisdom and strength to complete its mandate successfully.

Oyebanji further appreciated the church leadership for its spiritual support, particularly the ministrations of Dr (Mrs.) Chiyere Obed and the prayers offered by Prof. Gabriel Akinbola, describing their messages as inspiring and reassuring.

Earlier, the General Pastor of the church, Prof. Gabriel Akinbola, urged Christians to cultivate the habit of thanksgiving.

Preaching from Acts 27:22 and Joel 2, Akinbola said thanksgiving attracts greater blessings and divine favour.

He also urged political leaders to emulate the thanksgiving example demonstrated by Gov. Biodun Oyebanji and his family, describing gratitude to God as a hallmark of exemplary leadership.
