Public and private primary and secondary schools in Ekiti State are set to resume on Monday, April 27, for the third term of the 2025/2026 academic session.
The Ekiti State Commissioner for Education, Dr Olabimpe Aderiye, announced this in a statement made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti on Friday.
Aderiye said the state government would continue to provide the necessary direction and regulations to ensure excellent outcomes in schools.
She noted that the schools had been on a three-week holiday following the completion of the second term and the Easter festivities.
The commissioner stated that all teachers and students were expected to resume on the scheduled date, adding that academic activities would commence immediately.
According to her, the resumption aligns with the approved academic calendar and signals the beginning of a new phase, with students expected to participate in academic and extracurricular activities throughout the term.
She added that the state remains committed to achieving improved productivity in the education sector.
