OSI-EKITI HONOURS PHARM. EJIMOKUN, OTHERS AT GRAND CIVIC RECEPTION

The Permanent Secretary, Ekiti State Ministry of Trade, Industry, Investment and Cooperatives, Pharm. Peter Bunmi Ejimokun, has been honoured at a grand civic reception organised to celebrate distinguished sons and daughters of Osi-Ekiti who have recently attained higher positions in public service and recorded academic excellence.

The colourful event, organised by His Royal Majesty, Oba Barr. Olugboyega Alabi, the Olosi of Osi-Ekiti, alongside the Olosi-in-Council and the Osi-Ekiti Progressive Union, was held on Sunday in Osi-Ekiti and attracted dignitaries, community leaders, family members and well-wishers.

Pharm. Ejimokun was specially recognised for his elevation as Permanent Secretary in the Ekiti State Civil Service.

A citation read at the event highlighted Pharm. Ejimokun’s rich academic and professional background, describing him as a seasoned pharmacist with vast experience across various organisations and a member of several professional bodies.

Other eminent personalities honoured at the event include Mrs. Henrietta Bola Badejo, Registrar of Yaba College of Technology; Mr. Olufemi Babasahinde Adediran, Permanent Secretary; Comrade Gbenga Olowoyo, General Secretary of the Nigerian Civil Service Union; Prof. Ayodele Oluwaseun Ajayi of the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE); Prof. Iyabo Simon-Oke of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA); Barr. Oluwafemi Ekundayo, a First Class graduate of the Nigerian Law School; Miss Morenikeji Hephzibah Alowoye, a First Class graduate of Adeleke University, Ede and Mr. Emmanuel Olalekan Fakuade, a First Class graduate of FUTA.

Speaking at the event, the Olosi of Osi-Ekiti commended the honourees for bringing pride and honour to the community through their dedication, excellence and hard work. 

He described their achievements as an inspiration to the younger generation and urged them to continue contributing meaningfully to the development of Osi-Ekiti and Ekiti State at large.

The monarch emphasised the importance of education, integrity and service, noting that the community would continue to celebrate and support excellence among its indigenes.

The event featured goodwill messages, presentation of awards and prayers for the continued success of the honourees. It was a moment of pride and celebration for the entire Osi-Ekiti community.
