NACOMYO IKERE MARKS GRAND FINALE OF RAMADAN LECTURE, INAUGURATE NEW EXCO

The National Council of Muslim Youth Organisations of Nigeria has held its annual Ramadan lecture aimed at bringing all the Muslims youth organization in Ikere Ekiti together and to also boost the moral of youth for adopting the ways and doctrine of Islam. 


Speaking at the programme tagged "An Ideal Muslim Home" Oba Prof. AbdulRoheem Mustapha Adejoro, the Alafin of Afin Akoko, Ondo State, explained that the topic is fashioned at exposing the youths to ways through which they could build and manage a Godly home.


The Chairman NACOMYO Ikere Ekiti, Ustadh Muhammed Sarafa expressed gratitude to Allah for the grace and wisdom bestowed upon him to pilot a successful tenure as the leader of the association and also appreciated the members for their support since the inception of his administration.


Sarafa described the event as a remarkable one in the history of the association, as it marks the 20th years of observing annual Ramadan lecture in the town and as the leadership of the association hands over to the newly selected executive members.


Recounting the achievements of his administration, the chairman noted that the association has transformed and moved Islam forward in the town with some of its developmental programs which include establishment of Islamic cooperative, weekly radio programme presentation, formation of Educational Committee, Youth Empowerment Scheme, Iftar Programme, Bye Law as well as the purchase of land for Moqbarah(Cemetery) which is first of its kind among others.


He thereafter solicit for support and due recognition of the Muslim Youths by the Chairmen of Ikere Local Government and Ikere West LCDA so as to foster unity and peace among religions in the community.


While inaugurating the new executive members, the State Coordinator of NACOMYO, Alhaji Mudasiru Yusuf appreciated the Governor Biodun Oyebanji for his commitment and prioritizing the welfare of grassroots citizens as well as recognizing the Muslim communities in the state adding that the Muslims in the state would continue to support his administration towards achieving a landmark success that would transform the lives of Ekiti citizenry.
