Ekiti First Lady Tasks Youths on Self Development as Leadership of NYC Pays Visit

 Wife of Ekiti State Governor, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji, has urged Nigerian youths to develop their potentials in order to add value in the society.

The Governor's wife stated this in Ado Ekiti, while playing host to executive members of the Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC) in Ekiti State.

Dr Oyebanji noted that self-development in areas like agriculture, sports and other skillful jobs would make them financial independent and promote their wellbeing if properly harnessed.

She pointed out that white collar jobs could no longer absorb reasonable percentage of Nigerian graduates, hence,  the need to be creative, law-abiding and responsible.

She further advised  the youths to be well informed about current happenings around them, so as not to be emotionally overwhelmed on issues that require logical reasoning and realistic interpretation.

"Wherever you feel I can partner with your organization, just let me know, I am  ready to collaborate with you, but I urge you to be deligent in whatever you do because it is what you have that you can offer" she added.

Earlier, the outgoing chairman of the Congress, Mr. Tosin Adesuyi said the organization had long seperated itself from unnecessary politicking inorder to fulfil its mandate of re-dedicating the path of young populace towards attaining greatness.

The elected chairman of the Congress, Mr Adedara Temitope assured Dr. Oyebanji that the interest of youths in the state would be adequately represented whenever it was needed.
