SECURITY: Ekiti State Police Command neutralizes two kidnappers, arrests three others.

 The Ekiti Police Command in her relentless effort to get the State rid of criminal elements, the Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, CP Morenikeji O. Adesina, recently innovated and activated a bush combing operation across all jurisdictions in the State.

The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Sunday Abutu in a statement made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti explained that the Command’s relentless efforts to get the state rid of criminal elements has led to the arrest of some kidnappers in the state.

"This initiative has paid off as the operatives of the Rapid Response Squad(RRS) today being 20/12/2022, through their bush combing operation around Kajola Forest Reserve, Ado-Ekiti, neutralized two(2) suspected kidnappers during a gun duel between the operatives and the kidnappers and arrested three of them, namely: USMAN DAHIRU, KABIRU ABUBAKAR and HAMMADU LAWAL while others escaped with bullet wounds". The statement reads.

According to the statement, exhibits recovered from the suspects include, One AK47 rifle, Thirty seven live ammunition, Seven expended ammunition, One Tecno phone and Military camouflage.
