The Medical Women Association of Nigeria, Ekiti Chapter has promised to collaborate with the office of the wife of Ekiti State Governor in achieving desired goals in the area of care giving.
The President of the Association , Dr Esther Akinsooto stated this in Ado-Ekiti during a visit of its members to the office of the Governor's wife.
She said the Association had been proactive in giving needed support to members of the public who were in need of medical assistance and school girls who could drop out of schools.
Dr Akinsoto emphasized the need for the present administration to carry the association along in the scheme of its activities so that Government goals on health could be achieved.
In her response, the Governor's wife, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji promised to involve the Association in government activities most especially in the area of female Genital mutilation, Gender Based Violence and other issues that area inimical to the future of girl child as well as women development.
Dr Oyebanji therefore encouraged them to continue with the passion they have for the society adding that such would leave a lasting legacy in the heart of the people.
Others on the team are President Elect; Dr Bolade Dele-Ojo, General Secretary; Dr Adebola Ibirongbe, Treasurer, Dr Okunola, Publicity Secretary, Dr Omolola Alao, Social Secretary, Dr Tomiwa Adeleye, Immediate Past President, Dr Alabi Olasukanmi.
