Ogoga descendants do not betray


...Oba Adu Alagbado boasts of Deputy Governor -Elect

The Ogoga of Ikere Ekiti Oba Adejimi Adu has assured the people of Ekiti State that the incoming government of Mr Biodun Oyebanji will enjoy relative peace with the combination of the Governor-elect and his Deputy.


Oba Adejimi Adu gave the assurance while fielding questions from newsmen in his palace in Ikere Ekiti.


The traditional ruler who said that the administration which is going to be headed by the duo of humble, responsible, God-fearing and humane personalities whose working relationship will bring sustainable progress and good governance.


He said Mr Biodun Oyebanji is an experienced freedom fighter who played a significant role in the creation of Ekiti State stressing that his active involvement in the struggle will boost his performance in governance.


Describing the Deputy Governor-Elect as a daughter of the palace, a descendant of the Adegboye ruling house of the town and a chief, Oba Adejimi Adu said he could vouch for her character and competence.


According to the traditional ruler, the various positions chief Mrs Afuye has occupied as the Okinlua of Ikere Ekiti, the leader of all princesses in the town and the state women leader of her party, were training ground for excellence in administration and politics.


"As someone who was born and brought up in the core Yoruba traditional and royal culture of respect and dignity, Afuye would not disappoint her boss and the people of the state". Ogoga said.


In his contribution, the head of Chiefs and Sapetu of Ikere Ekiti, Chief Olufemi Babatola lauded the Governor-elect and his political party for picking one of the best hands for the position in the community.


Chief Babatola called on Ekiti people to be patient with the incoming government of Mr Biodun Oyebanji, adding that there will be meaningful development in the state.
