The Executive Chairman of Ekiti State Internal Revenue Service, Hon. Eleazar Olumuyiwa Ogunmilade felicitates with Ekiti State Governor, His Excellency, Dr Kayode Fayemi over his emergence as the president of the Forum of Regions of Africa (FORAF).
Governor Fayemi was elected on Friday in an election held in the city of Saidia in Morocco.
According to reports, the Forum brought together for the first time Presidents of regions, countries, and federal states of more than 20 African countries that have a second level of decentralised territorial governments, including Nigeria, South Africa, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Niger, etc.
This first edition of the FORAF which was held in Morocco from September 8 to 10 under the auspices of His Majesty, King Mohammed VI has brought dignity, honour, and recognition to Ekiti people, home and abroad.
In such an edition, A Reputable Ekiti Man, A worthy Nigerian from West Africa emerges, this is worth a huge accolade.
Hon. Ogunmilade in his congratulatory message said he was not surprised that Governor Fayemi was elected, A man who has broken and made records as two term Ekiti State Governor, A man who has Chaired the most decorous and peaceful Nigerian Governors’ Forum for two consecutive terms, you can see he is deserving.
A man who’s under his leadership, Ekiti state IGR increased in multiples, and as well as the Ekiti State Internal Revenue Service gained Autonomy which has started boosting the IGR of the state.
He has taken Ekiti state beyond the shores of Africa when it comes to leadership and policy making, this is really worth celebrating.
Mr Ogunmilade expresses confidence in the ability of Dr. Fayemi as the president of FORAF and wishes him success in this new endeavour.
He congratulates the people of Ekiti state on the notable feat, and calls for more prayers and supports for this great son of Ekiti State who has continually brought dignity to our dear state.
