The Management and Staff of the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning have celebrated the “Quarterly Best Worker Award” for the first quarter of 2026, recognising staff members for their dedication and outstanding performance.
The award, now in its third year, was introduced to encourage excellence, diligence, punctuality, honesty, and commitment among ministry staff.
It has become a key initiative to boost morale and inspire consistent high performance.
During the ceremony, Mr. Ogunleye Ayodele emerged as the overall best staff, securing the first position, while Mr. Ewere Sunday and Mr. Kehinde Ajayi were second and third, respectively. Cash prizes were presented to the winners to further motivate staff excellence.
As a special honour, Mr. Ogunleye Ayodele’s portrait was officially displayed in the ministry hall, symbolising dedication and exemplary service.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Barr. Olusola Akinluyi congratulated the awardees and urged all staff to remain committed to their duties, emphasising that dedication and hard work attract reward and recognition.
Responding on behalf of the recipients, Mr. Ogunleye Ayodele expressed gratitude to the management, describing the award as a source of motivation. He pledged to continue giving his best in service to the ministry.
The event concluded with applause and celebrations, as staff members looked forward to continued excellence in the upcoming quarters.
