Oyebanji's wife launches Foundation, Commissions LG Projects.

Wife of Ekiti State Governor, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji has charged local government Chairmen and other political office holders to replicate the developmental policies of Mr Biodun Oyebanji led administration at their various constituencies.

Dr Oyebanji gave the charge during the commissioning of projects and launching of BAO Widows'  Foundation sponsored by Hon. Sola Olominu, the chairman of Ikole Local Government.

The commissioned people-centred projects included the reconstruction and renovation of Ikole Multipurpose Town Hall, erection and installation of one hundred (100) units of Solar Street Lights, renovation of the Legislative Building Complex of Ikole Local Government, and reconstruction and renovation of the official quarter of the Local Government Chairman and the lunch of BAO Widows' Foundation.

The first lady described the projects as good initiatives that would foster socio-economic growth and improve the quality of lives of the people as she encouraged residents of the community to take ownership of the projects and ensure it's sustainability.

Speaking on the BAO Widows' Foundation, the Governor's wife appreciated the chairman for considering widows in the community in his project, noting that widows and orphans are the most vulnerable in the society and needed to be adequately taken care of.

She described giving to the windows as an act of kindness to the needy and means of fostering peace and unity in the community.

 "I commend Mr. Chairman for the BAO Widows' Foundation project and the outstanding works to uplift the lives of widows in Ikole Local Government. This laudable initiative will of course provide empowerment, support, and resources to widows who are facing unimaginable challenges.

"The launch of the BAO Widows' Foundation Project today symbolizes our collective resolve to ensure that no widow in our community is left behind." She assured.

Dr Oyebanji thereafter charged other local government Chairmen to emulate the act of giving back to their community  as she admonished Ekiti people to always take care of their indigent neighbors and ensure they inculcate the habit of looking after each others welfare.

Earlier, the chairman of Ikole Local Government, Hon Sola Olominu, promised that his administration will not relent in rolling out people oriented programmes and projects with assurance that all ongoing projects would be completed in due time.

In their good will messages, Oba Samuel Fatoba, the Alara of Ara Ekiti and Barr Paul Omotoso, APC chairman, Ekiti State emphasized that the Local Government chairman is replicating the good governance of Ekiti State Governor at the grassroot level and encouraged that the Ikole people should synergise efforts with the local government boss to record more enviable projects in other regions of the local government.
