Wife of Ekiti State Governor, Dr (Mrs) Olayemi Oyebanji, on Thursday offset the medical bills of two patients at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti.
The First Lady who was on a visit to a patient in the Endocrinology ward of the hospital, met the two beneficiaries who had spent two months and two weeks respectively at the hospital, following their inability to pay their bills.
The First Lady who empathized with the patients suncequeltly paid their bills.
The beneficiaries, Mrs Falusi Mojisola (56 years) and Mrs Bello Folashade (55years) thanked the First Lady for the gesture and prayed God to grant her and her husband, the Governor, a successful tenure.
Earlier, the First Lady had charged medical practitioners on proper counseling of patients on the importance medication after hospital treatment.
According to the First Lady, some patients do relax medications after their discharge from the hospital which often result in complications and worsening of their health condition, hence the need for the awareness.
